During a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy surgery at Mayo Hospital in Lucknow, the OCCISSOR device was attached to the exhalation port of the anesthesia workstation. Samples were collected before and after the surgery. Microbial analysis revealed a significant reduction in Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus presence in the exhaled gas, demonstrating OCCISSOR’s effectiveness in sterilizing the air during the procedure.
